My Celestron C-8 is an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with a clear aperture of 200 mm and an aperture ratio of f/10 (focal length 2000 mm). For most shots, an intermediate optic reduces the focal length to 1260 mm.
Celestron C8 telescope
The telescope has a ZWO ASI533MC camera with 3000 x 3000 pixels. The CMOS sensor can be cooled to up to 35 degrees below ambient temperature.
front lens with dew
The front lens of the telescope fogs up without the heating ring! That would put an end to the autumn nights!
Nighttime observation
The image is recorded on the right laptop, the tracking of the telescope is controlled on the left one
solar telescope
The Coronado PST is an H-alpha solar telescope with a bandwidth of less than one angstrom. This means that the sun appears in the light of a hydrogen emission line.
